My primary duties as a dental assistant are to provide the best care possible to our patients, and inform them about how to best take care of their oral health. I also assist the doctors during dental procedure as needed. I began working in the dental field straight out of high school in 2004 and started with Dr. Mike that same year. I love talking with our patients and getting to know them a little better each time they visit.
When I’m not in the office I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, Sheldon and Rajah. I also like to bake and often make birthday, shower, and wedding cakes.
I help keep the office running smoothly and work with insurance claims and patient accounts. Coordinating treatment plans and financial agreements give me one on one time with our patients. I’ve worked with Dr. Mike since 2000. I starting as an assistantant before becoming the office manager. We have a very tight-knit group here and we strive to make each other’s day great, and that includes our wonderful patients! Interacting with our patients is certainly my favorite part of the job.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I’ve been married to my husband BJ for ten years and we have a little boy named Lucas. We have a blast going to Auburn football games. War Eagle! We also enjoy staying active in our church at CornerStone.
I work with the doctor to help make sure we provide the absolute best oral care possible to our patients. I take dental X-rays, help patients develop plans for their care, and offer services for prevention, education, and treatment. I thoroughly enjoy building strong personal relationships with my patients and educating them on the importance of oral hygiene; that way, they can enjoy a sparkling smile forever! I got my hygiene license in 1999 at UAB hygiene program.
I’ve been married to my husband Tony for 32 years and we have two children, Ashley and Jake, and a daughter-in-law Brittany.
I enjoy watching sports and Disney World vacations!
After graduating form Wallace State Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences, I have applied my talents here at Dr. McLeary's office since 2010.
In 2013, at top of my class, I completed the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program at UAB and became a CITA certified Registered Dental Hygienist. I love my job and being able to inform patients of not only oral health, but how it affects overall health. My favorite part of my job is changing patients outlook on "going to the dentist"
Aside from work. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brandon, and two children.
I work as a sterilization technician, making sure all our equipment is clean and ready for the next patient. I’ve been working here since 2013 and am currently a student at Northwest Shoals Community College. It’s so much fun being able to come into the office every day to work with such an amazing staff, including my uncle and cousin!
I interface with patients at the front desk scheduling appointments, greeting new patients and checking them in and out. I also deal with accounts and insurance matters. I’ve been at the office since 2009 and am currently attending the University of North Alabama for a degree in business. My absolute favorite part of working here is getting to know our patients and being in a fun, family-oriented environment where everyone leaves with a smile.
In my spare time I love to go shopping, listen to music or read a great book. My loving husband Mark and I have one daughter named Addison.
My role as a dental assistant is to make sure the patient is calm and comfortable, and to assist the doctors during dental procedures. I digitally scan, design and mill porcelain crowns. I also keep the orders for our office supplies in check. I love helping patients stay informed about the importance of a healthy mouth and helping them maintain a beautiful smile. I work very well with Dr. McLeary, he has taught me so much and given me so many opportunities over the years, and he’s also my dad!
I’m currently attending the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program at UAB to obtain my Registered Dental Hygiene License.
